For decades, Koreans believed the United States to be a true ally. But we have now awakened to the painful truth: what we thought was friendship was built on manipulation, cover-ups, and the gaslighting of our people by the U.S. and the authoritarian regimes it supported. Today, the Korean people understand clearly that only by reclaiming our sovereignty - free from foreign interference - can we secure our future and ensure true peace. The United States cannot continue to confine Korea in a colonial framework. The peace of Korea, and of the Korean Peninsula, will be achieved by our own will, in our own name.
